While Drop Cards are one of the most powerful, fun, and convenient ways to market your business, opportunity, product, or special in an off-line nearly viral way…

the fact is they still do cost money.

I had an odd request the other day from someone who is just getting started and their advertising budget is, shall we say, “tight”.

Well…. not exactly.

As I’ve said many times before, I’m a big fan of using Drop Cards in your everyday travels!

We all have chores and errands we run – grocery store, book store, sporting goods, clothes shopping, hardware stores, etc.  Including getting gas in our vehicles.

That’s one of the things I love about Drop Cards – you can keep a bunch of them with you at all times, and leave them to be discovered.  One key to marketing is putting yourself out in front of where people might ‘stumble’ across your information!

Last week, filling up, I left a drop card behind in the credit-card application holder.  The next person might be frustrated, on their way home from work, and this might just be what they need to find!

Early Saturday morning, getting ready for a bit of free marketing!

I take my drop cards, and the junk mail I get I keep the postage-paid return envelopes.

Add drop card, seal, send back.

Don’t get a big response, but it’s completely free and somewhere, someone stuck in a dead-end job sees the drop card and might just be interested.  Whatever I can do to help someone find a better way!

Just another quick post – I was out picking up some dinner (chinese takeout and Wendys) and had to stop for gas.

Love the clear containers with the credit card applications in them at the tanks.
